“Dexter is a sassy and stubborn miniature dachshund. When a girl named Shelby adopts him, he learns his colorful, fluffy, appearance is special — just not special enough for him to be a fancy show dog. Determined to prove he’s blue-ribbon worthy, Dexter’s adventures lead to bigger and bigger trouble.
When a scuffle costs him his eye, he begins to lose faith in his show dog dream — until Shelby’s love helps him realize there’s more to being a show dog than how he looks.
A heartwarming true story of resilience, unconditional love, and the power of our imperfections.”
First edition copies are hardcover, dust-jacketed, and adorned with signatures from Dexter and his team (in other words… it’s the extra fancy version)!
